Date: 1896
Artist: Jules Cheret
Jules Cheret (May 31, 1836 – September 23, 1932) was a French painter and lithographer who became a master of Belle Époque poster art. Often called the father of the modern poster.
Movement: Art Nouveau
I chose this poster because of its unconventional colors that actually work well in a design. Not artist’s usual subject of woman. Poster has a comical notions to the poster.
