Impressively odd character for the government agency
Title: Mr. Peanut - Planters peanuts and snacks
Designer: Character was invented by when a young schoolboy named Antonio Gentile submitted his entry in the Planters' contest to create a brand icon. Later, a commercial artist added the monocle, top hat and cane.
Date: 1916 - present
Character does describe the product. Seems to be appealing both young and older generations.
